Joanna graduated with honors from Wichita State University with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science in 2006 and a Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2010. She completed post-graduate certification in Mechanical Diagnostic Therapy (MDT) at the McKenzie Institute in 2018 and specializes in treatment of the spine and related pain. Additionally, she has extensive experience in general orthopedics, post-surgical rehabilitation, pediatrics and home health. Having more than 11 years of diverse experiences, Joanna says, “I’m passionate about working with patients in helping them to eliminate pain and increase mobility.” Originally from Belle Plaine, Kansas, Joanna moved to Winston-Salem in June of 2021 when her husband, Daren, accepted a position with Wake Forest University Athletics. Their family includes two dogs, Stella and Macy.
